With the enactment of Law 4624/2019—"Hellenic Data Protection Authority, measures for the implementation of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data, and transposition into national law of Directive (EU) 2016/680 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016, and other provisions"—the legal framework for personal data protection is established.
In this context, we inform you that, in accordance with applicable legislation regarding the registration process for successful candidates in higher education, the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports (YPAITHA) transmits the details of successful candidates to the University.
The University maintains and processes the aforementioned data for the purpose of registering new students, subsequently managing their academic records, communicating with their next of kin in emergencies, and ensuring their access to provided electronic services throughout the duration of their studies. After registration, students update their details.
Subsequently, the students' updated details are sent to the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports (YPAITHA).
